This study assumes a skip floor that is frequently used on a daily basis in homes and clarifies the difficulty of moving and the motion characteristics based on motion analysis for stepping-up and -down movement using stationary handrails. In this study, in order to set the difficulty in moving, difficulty in moving or no difficulty in moving was set by wearing or not wearing a commercially available lumbar protective corset. The degree of movement of the head in the forward direction is especially larger in the stepping-up movement, because the head moves further to the front than in the stepping-down movement by the results of the motion analysis. In addition, since the ratio of vertex moving area and its standard deviation were larger when stepping-up a low step than under the other conditions, it is thought that the balance of the body may be disturbed forward and backward.
