In recent years, the ratio of elderly person is the highest ever with 28.1% in Japan. With this elderly person increase, the person requiring nursing care is in a tendency to increase year by year, too. Social security budgets increase and a sustainability of the nursing-care insurance system becomes the problem. A physical factor such as a bone fracture, a fall and the weakening by the drop of the lower limbs muscular strength with the aging is cited in the cause to become the need of nursing care of the elderly person. In addition, lower limbs muscular strength decreases, and is satisfied; when cannot walk, a drop of the lower limbs muscular strength falls into a vicious circle to progress more without walking. However, for the lack of the caregiver, a rehabilitation apparatus for walk function improvement not to need the assistance of the caregiver is required. Therefore we examined a function necessary for a rehabilitation to develop a Face-to-Face Type rehabilitation apparatus aiming at walk function improvement.
