Thinking about the Space for Welfare
Takeshi NOGUCHI

In order to accomplish the welfare, it is necessary to study it deeply from three aspects: to develop some machines supporting the handicapped, to construct mental method for those who concern the welfare, to put an official welfare system. And, it is also significant to grasp the space where welfare is done. In Japan, an aging society is to come. So we must study about a space for welfare, where both the handicapped and the normal can live in harmony with each other. The space must be open to everyone who lives near by, and work as a local station of welfare. In my opinion, school is a good and suitable space for it. We should become aware of that we are the members of the local society. The local society is the key station of welfare and the school can take a role as the key station. Japanese should recognize the importance of making a welfare community such as a welfare village, local supporting welfare system.
